What I love most about being a SWIFT member is being in a collaborative space filled with highly skilled & supportive women. A complete community with women from all walks of life. My most noteworthy event was when SWIFT selected me & other SWIFT members to go on a life-changing excursion to the Berlin Film Festival, which was such an empowering & uplifting experience. I will always be grateful to SWIFT for spearheading such an insightful expedition, looking forward to more of those!

I am inspired by the creative challenge of ensuring my next project is ground-breaking, each project poses as another opportunity to excel. The diligent and passionate Individuals I work with both on and off-screen also have an incredibly positive and impactful influence in my path of filmmaking. Being in a room with other creatives where we spark different stories and ideas against each other is so electrifying, that’s what keeping creativity alive looks like to me. Collaboration is key, everyone plays a pivotal role in bringing the story to life.

I have been fortunate enough to have worked on beautifully artistic projects which push the envelope in various ways. Working on my first feature film ‘Zulu Wedding’ as a writer which scooped an International award at the 28th Annual Pan African Film & Arts Festival is one of my most revolutionary experiences. Being a voice over artist for prestige clients such as the likes of L’Oreal & Satiskin are also some of my most fulfilling experiences. In 2016 she was a WGSA Muse Awards finalist for best TV Drama for ‘Tempy Pushas Series III’ (2013).

Julies striking screen narratives showcase her unwavering passion for filmmaking, as a script editor she has worked on astounding films:
⦁ Hard to get (2014)
⦁ Happiness Is a Four Letter Word (2016)
⦁ Keeping Up With The Kandasamys (2017)
